SAGINAW, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – The final MLF competition of the Toyota Stage 7 Presented by Ranger Boats finished on the Saginaw River Sunday afternoon. Jacob Wheeler walked away with his 10th career Bass Pro Tour win with 110 pounds on 42 scoreable bass after the final weigh-in.

Wheeler only needed to secure 27th place or better to win the Fishing Clash Angler of the Year title. Taking first place, he secured the $150,000 award and won his fourth Angler of the Year award, capping a $250,000 weekend.

He said, “I still don’t know what to say, to be honest with you. I don’t even believe it half the time. I just go fishing and things happen. I’m just speechless. It’s crazy, it really is.”

Wheeler beat out Todd Faircloth’s 102 pounds-10 ounces and 40 bass coming from behind. He was 22 pounds down when he came back to finish with the 110 pounds.
