WASHINGTON, D.C. (Michigan News Source) – President Donald Trump is demanding the resignation of Federal Reserve official Lisa Cook after news surfaced that the Biden-appointed bureaucrat with ties to Michigan likely committed mortgage fraud.
Cook allegedly designated her Atlanta condo as her primary residence just two weeks after declaring Michigan as her primary residence.
U.S. Federal Housing Director Bill Pulte has referred the case to the Department of Justice. She could be forced to resign if the allegations are proven.

According to Cook’s LinkedIn profile, she worked as an economics professor at Michigan State University. She describes herself this way: “I am an academic economist who works on economic growth and development, financial institutions and markets, innovation, and economic history. Sometimes I advise presidents, ministers of finance, and central bank governors on economic policy.”
Cook’s potential scuffle with mortgage fraud could open up a spot for Trump to appoint someone else to her role. Trump is already at odds over Fed head Jerome Powell for not lowering interest rates.
