LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Michigan’s court leaders are asking for help to shape the future of the state’s judicial system. With the current three-year plan for court improvements wrapping up at the end of 2025, the Michigan Judicial Council (MJC) is starting work on the next one – and they want everyday Michiganders to weigh in.

Why your voice matters.

The current Strategic Agenda has guided Michigan’s courts since 2022, setting goals for everything from case management to technology upgrades. Now, as they draft the next plan, court officials say public input will help make sure the system is fairer, faster, and more accessible. Whether someone has been through the court system, worked in law, or simply has ideas on how the courts could be better, the feedback the MJC receives will be used to help shape what comes next.

What’s on the table.

Officials are especially interested in hearing about challenges people face in accessing justice, ideas for using technology to make the courts more efficient, and suggestions for improving how cases are handled. Anyone with experience or insight into Michigan’s courts is encouraged to share their thoughts.

How to get involved.

A public feedback session will be held online via Zoom on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, from 4 to 5 p.m. EDT. Those who want to participate need to register through the Michigan Courts website.
