WASHINGTON, D.C. (Michigan News Source) – Michigan Congressman Tom Barrett (R) is taking a lead role in the release of the files tied to human trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.
Rep. Barrett backed bipartisan House Resolution 581 which order any files related to Epstein’s sex trafficking to be released. In addition, he is pushing for a quicker resolution since he said the victims deserve justice and citizens need transparency.

“To expedite that process, I took action this week to pass [House Resolution 668] that instructs the Oversight Committee to release all the documents it recently subpoenaed in a bipartisan vote,” Rep Barrett said. “I believe this is the quickest and most efficient way to bring new documents and evidence to light.”
President Donald Trump promised the release of the Epstein files on the campaign trail, but U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi received backlash after appearing on news programs discussing her review of the files. She stated she would release the files, then switched course and said there was no list of Epstein’s clients.
