LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – In June, Attorney General Dana Nessel released a statement about the shootings of two Democrat politicians from Minnesota.

Five days after conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was assassinated in Utah, Nessel has yet to publish an official statement via a press release.

That’s according to the official press releases her office publishes.

Nessel released a statement the day that Minnesota State Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband were shot dead and State Sen. John Hoffman and his wife were shot and injured. Police arrested Vance Boelter for the crimes.

“My heart breaks for all those affected by the politically motivated attacks and murders in Minnesota, and especially for the families of Senator John Hoffman and Representative Melissa Hortman,” Nessel’s statement read. “This is a devastating attack on public servants, public service, and our shared values as Americans. We cannot tolerate political violence anywhere in this country and it must be met with the strongest, universal condemnation everywhere and every time.”

The day after Kirk’s assassination, Nessel put out a press release about another legal action she’s taken against President Donald Trump’s administration.

On Sept. 12, Nessel issued a press release about a podcast she did attacking the Trump administration.
