LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – A 61-year-old Chinese national will spend 40 months to 20 years in prison for operating an international sex trafficking ring in Wayne County.
Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel said Huazi Piao operated commercial sex operations at illicit massage parlors. Piao’s charges came after an investigation in the summer of 2024 that involved numerous local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.

Piao pleaded guilty last month. Four others were charged last year as well. It marked one of the largest human trafficking operations uncovered in Michigan.
