DEARBORN, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Jake Lang, a Jan. 6 protester pardoned by Donald Trump, said Tuesday he is in Dearborn and is going to cook bacon and burn Qurans at the steps of the city hall.
Lang said at 11 a.m. he was in Dearborn at Home Depot buying supplies for today’s march organized by Christians to show a display of unity in light of what has been called the Islamization of the city.

Anthony Hudson, a Republican gubernatorial candidate in Michigan who has heavily promoted the march, has condemned Lang’s plans and said this march was meant to be peaceful.
Lang, who went to prison for his role in the Jan. 6, 2021 incident at the U.S. Capital, said he expected his demonstration to “stir up some emotions.”
“I’ve got a griddle and we are going to be cooking up some bacon and burning some Qurans,” Lang said.
Lang said he’s resorting to such tactics because he sees Islam taking over western Europe and doesn’t want it to happen to the U.S.
Lang is running for a U.S. senate office in Florida and posted Nov. 14 on Facebook that his very first act as senator would be to “ban Islam.
Hudson said he wasn’t sure how many people would attend the march, which starts in mid afternoon with posts saying both 3 p.m. and 4 p.m.
