ANN ARBOR, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Former University of Michigan coach Sherrone Moore will be arraigned on yet-to-be-named charges on Friday.
Moore, who was fired on Wednesday by the university, is scheduled to appear in the 14A-1 District Court for arraignment on Dec. 12. Pittsfield Township police say they arrested a man reportedly involved in an assault shortly on Wednesday afternoon, although they did not name the 39-year-old former coach in the press release. Moore was arrested and held at the Washtenaw County Jail. Michigan News Source reached out to the Washtenaw County Prosecutor’s office but did not hear back by press time.

U of M Athletic Director Warde Manuel said the school found credible evidence to fire Moore “with cause” after he engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a staff member. That relationship is a violation of policy, according to Manuel.
Moore, who is married with three children, worked as the head coach for two years.
