LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Lansing native, actor, and director Timothy Busfield is facing an arrest warrant amid child sex abuse allegations.
News of the 1975 East Lansing High School alum broke over the weekend after the the Albuquerque Police Department in New Mexico allege the 68-year-old actor engaged in sexual contact of a minor and child abuse, according to the arrest warrant and multiple media outlets. Authorities allege the victims are two 11-year-old male twins who worked on the set of a movie Busfield directed. One of the boys says the abuse began when he was 7-years-old.

Busfield married actress Melissa Gilbert in 2013. The couple lived in Livingston County from 2013 until 2018. They now live in New York state.
In August 2015, Gilbert announced a run for Michigan’s 8th Congressional District as a Democrat, but dropped out the following May citing health problems.
