MT. PLEASANT, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – In what might be the state’s most efficient law enforcement-meets-food delivery story of the week, state troopers didn’t just arrest a man during a traffic stop last week in central Michigan – they also made sure they helped him finish his DoorDash delivery.
Troopers pulled over a DoorDash driver around 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 6 in the Mount Pleasant area for a routine traffic violation. During the stop, they discovered the driver was wanted on an outstanding felony warrant.

The hungry customer waiting for their non-delivered lunch called the driver to ask the classic question: “Where’s my order?”
Instead of the usual “I’m on the way,” the customer got a slightly different update: one of the troopers told her that the driver was currently being arrested.
But instead of letting the order disappear somewhere between the drive-thru and the squad car, the troopers coordinated with two other troopers to get the food delivered – proving that public service sometimes means the meal gets delivered while the suspect gets delivered to jail.
