REESE, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – An historic Tuscola County church burned to the ground overnight.

When fire crews responded around 2:45 a.m. on Saturday to the Reese Faith Community Church, the entire building was engulfed in flames. They cleared the scene seven hours later.

No one was in the church at the time the fire started, which is cause for praise for one church attender. She gave permission to Michigan New Source to use her social media post, which highlighted that “God is good all the time.”

She said, “Three weeks ago or so we had a full house at church for a spaghetti dinner to help send kids to camp. We were spared. This morning there was supposed to be a men’s breakfast; they were spared.”

The 1,250-square foot church and adjacent youth fellowship hall were a complete loss. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
