WASHINGTON, D.C. (Michigan News Source) – A meeting that’s out-of-this-world landed on the agenda at the White House on Wednesday.
President Donald Trump met with the four astronauts of NASA’s Artemis II mission three weeks after they returned from the moon.

“We’re very proud of these people,” Trump said. “They have unbelievable courage.”
The four astronauts include Michigan native Christina Koch, Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, and Jeremy Hansen. They splashed back down to Earth on April 10 after a 10-day historic lunar flyby. During the trip, the astronauts saw the far side of the moon.
Wednesday’s meeting isn’t the first time these astronauts had their moment with the president. Just after they flew past the moon, Trump called them and congratulated them on completing the mission. It was this phone call where he invited them to the White House.
