ANTRIM COUNTY, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – An investigation is underway by the Michigan State Police over a possible breach of security involving the Antrim County clerk and her radio host husband.

The complaint filed on Feb. 20, 2026 claims a county maintenance employee saw “Trucker” Randy Bishop, Antrim County Clerk Victoria Bishop’s husband, in the clerk’s office using the computer alone. Among other things, the computer contains the Qualified Voter File (QVF).

According to Interlochen Public Radio, Victoria Bishop owns the Cheboygan-area radio station WCHY-FM (97.7) from which her husband broadcasts a talk show for three hours a day.

This is not Bishop’s first brush with the law. Randy Bishop has a felony, and is facing a defamation suit from a businessman whom he accused of hiring undocumented workers. Court records show Thomas Moran, founder of Moran Iron Works in Onaway, sued Bishop in 2024 after accusing Moran of “shipping in…illegal immigrants.”

Victoria Bishop is facing additional allegations. The Michigan Bureau of Elections says voters and municipal employees contacted them and accused Bishop of acting improperly in her role as clerk.  A spokesperson for the Bureau said that they found “sufficient irregularities” in the state’s voter file that “indicate the clerk may be illegally altering voter registration records.” Bishop defended herself in a statement last month.
