ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Mich. (Michigan News Source) — Anchors away! Summer weather has arrived and the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office wants Michiganders to remember safety when they launch their boats this year.

Boaters can brush up on water rules with Boater Safety Practical Classes. Those classes are designed to provide hands-on instruction and reinforce safe boating practices ahead of the busy summer season.

Classes are structured for those who already have a valid Boater Safety Certificate and want additional practical experience operating their watercraft. Deputies will schedule individual sessions in 20-minute time blocks.
