LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Michigan’s hotly contested Democratic U.S. Senate race is too close to call, with Abdul El-Sayed and Haley Stevens separated by a slight margin.

With 91% of precincts reporting around 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday, the Associated Press reported El-Sayed (48.9%) maintained a slim lead over Stevens (47.1%) with a roughly 24,000 vote gap between them.

NBC and ABC “projected” that El-Sayed had won the primary, but other major media outlets, including the Associated Press and MIRS, had not confirmed that information.

The winner of this race will face GOP candidate Mike Rogers on Nov. 3.
