The competition brought together troopers from 30 law enforcement agencies nationwide to test their skills in driving, firearms proficiency, physical fitness and leadership.
It was Michigan State Police’s first appearance at the national event, and the two troopers made their presence known.
Mohler and Prince earned their spots after winning MSP’s statewide qualifying competition in Lansing in June. The two then spent three months preparing for the national competition while continuing their regular law enforcement duties.

Mohler captured first place in the Female Leadership Assessment Interview category, while Prince earned second place in Male Physical Fitness.
Together, the Michigan team finished fifth overall among the participating agencies.
Not bad for Michigan’s first trip to the national competition – two individual honors and a top-five finish.
