Eligible residents who are not registered can register on Election Day at their city or township clerk’s office with proof of residency and then cast a ballot.

Most absentee ballots must reach the local clerk by 8 p.m. today. It’s too late to rely on the mail. Return yours in person or to an official ballot drop box serving your city or township.

Michigan provides at least nine days of early in-person voting before statewide and federal elections. According to the Michigan Voting Dashboard, as of Monday, 2.3 million of the state’s roughly 7.4 million active registered voters had already cast their ballots.
