FBI agents visited Palazzolo’s home October 9 to question him about the messages. According to court documents, he admitted sending them, apologized and claimed he had no intention of hurting anyone.

But prosecutors say that didn’t stop him. Instead, Palazzolo allegedly continued harassing a Detroit FBI agent, threatening to show up at the bureau’s office and use deadly force against federal officials, including FBI and Secret Service personnel.

A Criminal History and More Federal Trouble

According to Breitbart, citing additional reporting, Palazzolo has a criminal history spanning Michigan, Texas and Florida, including a 2018 charge involving a false terrorist threat and a separate bomb- threat case.

Palazzolo appeared in federal court Friday, October 30, and was temporarily detained. According to a November 2 court order, he subsequently agreed to remain in federal custody rather than proceed with a detention hearing. U.S. Magistrate Judge Elizabeth Stafford ordered him held pending trial, although Palazzolo retains the right to request a detention hearing at a later date.

Palazzolo is charged with one felony count of transmitting threatening communications in interstate commerce, a federal offense punishable by up to five years in prison if convicted.
