SAGINAW TOWNSHIP, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Officials in Saginaw Township are looking for applicants for its citizen police academy.

Participants will learn how local police operate and are impacted by day-to-day events. Attendees will get hands-on experience using the equipment SWAT uses, crime scene investigators and shoot training weapons with practice rounds.

Residents who live or work in Saginaw Township and are at least 21-years-old can apply.

The 12-week program starts August 31.
