GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – The Grand Rapids Police Department is facing some major charges.
On Monday, the state of Michigan filed discrimination charges against the department in two separate cases and is still investigating 28 other complaints.
An administrative law judge will hear the evidence on the two charges announced Monday and make recommendations on any potential penalties.
The city of Grand Rapids says it is cooperating fully.
Eric Winstrom became the new chief of police in March of this year.
