SENEY, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Michigan is home to a record breaking loon.

Fe is a 36-year-old female who just had her 40th successful hatching which is a new record for her species.

She lives at the Seney National Wildlife Refuge in the Upper Peninsula.

She is also famous for pairing up with a male loon A.B.J. for a record setting 25 years before the pair split this season.

Loons will migrate to the Gulf of Mexico or Florida coasts in the late summer and fall.
