PONTIAC, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – The invasive spotted lanternfly has been found in Michigan for the first time.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture confirms several egg masses were found in Pontiac last week.

The bug eats fruit crop vines and is fond of grapes.
The Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development director says the lanternfly has the potential to negatively impact Michigan’s grape industry.
