BIG RAPIDS, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Mecosta County and the city of Big Rapids will finally see money from the state that will help assist the community in rebuilding after severe thunderstorms and flooding in May.
Governor Gretchen Whitmer approved $750,000 in assistance to the county and city.
The money comes from the Disaster and Emergency Contingency Fund.
This fund is setup specifically for state assistance to help areas with disaster emergency when local efforts have been exhausted.
