FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Cats have nine lives. However, one house cat in Oakland County used that surplus of lives to save the lives of his family.

Thor lives with his humans in Farmington Hills. On August 30, a power outage forced the Stamper family to run a generator in the garage.

The garage was accidentally closed and began filling the house with carbon monoxide. Thor, who is four months old, woke Heidi Stamper up with a screeching cry.

She took Thor outside but passed out upon reentering the house.

Thor continued screeching and woke up two children who got their parents out of the home.

Everyone has recovered thanks to Thor, who is a true super hero kitty.
