FLINT, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – A well-known Genesee County businessman has turned himself in to authorities and now faces a variety of larceny charges.
Kenneth Walter Thomas, a long-time businessman, former Grand Blanc Township trustee, and a state representative candidate, faces 15 counts of larceny by conversion between $1,000 and $20,000 along with two misdemeanor larceny charges.
Thomas is free on bond after pleading not guilty.
He owned Thomas Appliance in Grand Blanc and Flint.
Customers say they paid for appliances that were never delivered, nor did they receive refunds.
Police suspect there are more victims than the 17 tied to Thomas’ charges.
