GOGEBIC COUNTY, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Michigan’s Porcupine Mountain Wilderness State Park has been named the most beautiful in the country.
Spanning Gogebic and Ontonagon Counties near the shores of Lake Superior, Porcupine Mountain Wilderness State Park received the title after a recent study conducted by Travel Lens which analyzed Yelp reviews.

Out of more than 6,000 State Parks across the country, the Porkies topped the list with 89% of its Yelp reviews describing the location as “beautiful”.
In addition to being the most beautiful, the study also found that the Porkies are increasing the most in popularity with Google searches increasing 112% in the past year.
