PONTIAC, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Oakland County Circuit Judge Cheryl Matthews ruled prosecutors cannot use the “pathway to violence theory” when it tries James and Jennifer Crumbley.
The Crumbleys are the parents of Oxford High School shooter 16-year-old Ethan Crumbley.

Judge Matthews made the ruling after the experts slated to testify admitted they could not predict what actions or inactions could have stopped the school shooting.
Prosecutors allege the Crumbleys put their son on a pathway to violence by not getting him help for his mental health needs.
Ethan Crumbley pled guilty and will be sentenced in February. The Crumbleys trial is scheduled for January.
