GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – RSV cases in the state are continuing to rise, so Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital is asking the state for an emergency Certificate of Need.

They want to add 48 beds and also designate 117 more beds for intensive care.

The state is experiencing a surge in the virus all over, and cold and flu season is also upon everyone.

Wait times at the hospital are expected to be much longer than normal, and visitors may be restricted.
