ANN ARBOR, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – As snow hits Michigan, the city of Ann Arbor is looking for volunteers for a new program to keep the sidewalks clear.

Volunteers will be matched with homes within a 10-minute walk from their location.

In addition, volunteers will be paired up with disabled residents or senior citizens 55 and older who may not be able to shovel themselves. An Ann Arbor city ordinance gives homeowners 24-hours to clear snow or they can be ticketed.
