HOLLAND, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Hope College is facing a multi-million-dollar class action lawsuit in connection to a data breach.

The breach occurred in September and hackers accessed personal information. It affected nearly 157,000 people.

The plaintiffs are seeking more than $5 million. The college tells the Holland Sentinel that officials are cooperating with a federal investigation and the college has also conducted a “complete and thorough” investigation.
