ESCANABA, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Great Lakes Cruise Ships are becoming a regular site around the state over the past few years, and the companies behind them are continuing to grow their reach across the state.

A major cruise ship line announced a new port in the Upper Peninsula, making it the first time ever a lakes and oceans vessel will stop in Escanaba.

Starting in May, American Queen Voyages will visit this spot on number of their voyages around the Great Lakes.

Escanaba now joins ports such as Marquette, Detroit, Mackinac Island and Sault Ste. Marie, among others, for passengers to disembark and enjoy local culture.
