LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – The Michigan Department of Technology, Management & Budget announced the state’s unemployment rate remained constant over the past month.
Total employment in the state advanced by 3,000 while unemployment remained constant at 4.3 %. This resulted in a minor workforce increase of 3,000 in January.

The national unemployment rate declined by one-tenth of a percentage point during the same time period, to 3.4%.
For the year, Michigan’s jobless rate fell .06%.
