GLEN ARBOR, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is now accepting only cashless payments at its staffed locations.

Cash payments will still be accepted at the nine self-pay fee cannisters throughout the park.

The change went into effect March 1st. It’s designed to allow park rangers more time to spend with visitors.

Many National Park Service sites started going cashless in 2022.
