LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – A new bill working its way through the Michigan Legislature would place video cameras in construction zones.
House Bill 4132 would put cameras with sensors to detect speeders and would issue tickets to drivers going more than 10 mph over the speed limit in a construction zone with workers present.

Speeders would receive a warning after the first infraction. A second violation within three years would warrant a civil infraction and a $150 fine. A third or more, within three years, would be $300 for each.
All records would reset after three years.
