LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – It will cost more for Michigan drivers to fill up their gas tank this week.

AAA Michigan says prices are up 23-cents per gallon to $3.57. That is eight-cents less than last month and one dollar less than last year.

Traverse City has the highest price at $3.65, while metro Detroit’s $3.51 marked the lowest price.

The upcoming Memorial Day holiday is the unofficial start to summer in Michigan and many people travel that weekend. Gas may jump even higher in a few days, so people are encouraged to fill up now.
