AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – The former site of the Palace of Auburn Hills is being eyed by General Motors for a $200 million electric vehicle automotive supply facility.

The new plant would create a thousand jobs for three shifts and support GM’s Orion Assembly plant. That plant will be transitioned next year to build electric trucks.
The automaker says it is too early to discuss the jobs that would be created, noting the company “is still determining the scope of work and which supplier will have operations in support of the plant.”
