GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Grand Rapids Public Schools is hosting a community forum to discuss gun safety at schools Saturday at 1:00 p.m.

The forum will be held at Grand Rapids Public Schools University on Fuller Avenue.

Superintendent Leadriane Roby says she wants to have an open and honest discussion with members of the community on gun-related issues including the district’s recent backpack ban.

There have been four incidents this school year of students bringing guns into schools in the district.
