KALAMAZOO, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – The 2002 conviction of Jeff Titus for the double murder of hunters Doug Estes and James Bennett in November 1990 has been cleared.

Titus has proclaimed his innocence the entire time and Kalamazoo County Prosecutor Jeff Getting filed the motion with the Attorney General’s office and University of Michigan Innocence Project to drop all charges.

Investigators now believe the two hunters were killed by serial killer Thomas Dillon of Canton, Ohio. Dillon was accused of killing eight people in three states during a three-year span in the late 1980s.
