GRAND HAVEN, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – The Grand Haven lighthouse will be undergoing restoration throughout the summer.
After years of wear and tear, the concrete base of the lighthouse will be repaired. The project is expected to cost more than $210,000 and $60,000 of those dollars being paid for with a grant from Michigan’s Lighthouse Assistance Program.
The Grand Haven pier will still be open during the restoration project, but the public is asked to obey barricades and signs near the lighthouse.
The project is scheduled to be completed by August 21st.
