MARQUETTE, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – The Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has released survey results from the last four years showing the moose population is not statistically different.

In 2019, the Western U.P. had 509 individual Moose, with the current survey showing a population of 426.

Moose make their home all throughout the U.P., but the west side is home to the largest population.

The survey is conducted every two-year years, but due to Covid-19 restrictions, the DNR conducted its last survey in 2019.
