DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – The Detroit Pistons are breaking the bank to hire a new head coach.

The Pistons will hire Monte Williams will sign a six year contract worth almost $79 million. This makes him one of the highest paid coaches in North America regardless of sport.

Williams will make $13.1 million her year. To put that in perspective, Bill Belichick of the New England Patriots makes $20 million per year. Former MSU coach and Alabama football coach Nick Saban makes almost $12 million each year.
