GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Some Kent County residents are eligible to get a free water filter, in an effort to prevent lead exposure in drinking water.
The Kent County Health Department has teamed up with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services to provide the filters.

Residents qualify for the free filter if their home has lead plumbing, children under 18 or a pregnant woman in the home, someone in the house is enrolled in Medicaid or WIC, or the household is unable to afford a filter. For distribution sites and to register for a filter, visit here.
