DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – Amazon has opened a 3.8 million square foot fulfillment center at the former Michigan State Fairgrounds site.

Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan called it a “special property” that will create up to 2,000 jobs. Duggan initially turned Amazon down for the facility but the online retailer changed their footprint to use 80 acres instead of 142 acres and promised to not seek tax breaks.
