GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – A new study says employees in Grand Rapids are at risk of losing their jobs in the future to artificial intelligence.

That’s according to a new study conducted by the Chamber of Commerce, which says nearly 83 million jobs could be automated globally by 2027.

In the study’s list of U.S. cities where AI could have the biggest impact on the human workforce, Grand Rapids took the fifth spot. The list says more than 79,000 jobs in the Grand Rapids area are at risk, which is nearly 15% of total jobs in the area.

Las Vegas came in at number one on the list.
