LUDINGTON, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – The National Weather Service has advised swimmers and boaters to be aware of dangerous waves and currents Tuesday and into Wednesday morning.

The report shows that all Michigan beaches along the west side of the state will be affected from Ludington to the state line.

In addition, Indiana, Illinois and Wisconsin beaches are affected. The interior of the lake is also expected to have dangerous waves and currents.

Officials said the most dangerous areas for swimming will be the north sides of piers and other structures.

Conditions are expected to improve by Wednesday afternoon.
