MACKINAW CITY, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Folks on or near the Mackinac Bridge on Wednesday night may see the lights go out, but don’t panic. It’s part of a “Lights Out” initiative.

The Mackinac Bridge Authority and the residents in Mackinaw City will both be going dark as they participate in the “Lights Out” Challenge from 10:00-11:00 p.m.
The challenge is put on by the Headlands International Dark Sky Park to show the effects of light pollution.
