LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) and “GetSetUp,” an online learning and discovery platform designed specifically for older adults, have expanded their partnership for the third year in a row.

The idea behind the partnership is to combat social isolation and to keep older adults mentally, physically, and socially active by providing Michigan residents aged 50 and older an additional 500,000 free virtual classes across a range of topics.

During the first year of the program, 108,000 users took advantage of the program. As of June 2023, “GetSetUp” boasted nearly 268,000 users.
