MARQUETTE, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – An event that kicked off in 2008 to highlight the best of the best U.P. High School football players has come to an end.

Event coordinator Todd Goldbeck announced on his Facebook page that the 2023 U.P. All Star Football Games marked its last game.

Goldbeck says that the purpose of the game was to get every school represented and give the players the best possible experience, while also using football to teach and reinforce some important life lessons.

The game was played annually at the Superior Dome in Marquette.
