DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – A plane that crashed during an airshow near Detroit was a Soviet-era fighter jet.
The privately-owned MIG 23 was participating in the “Thunder Over Michigan” air show, which is one of the largest in the nation. One witness said the two people ejected from the plane came down close to the building she was in.

Video posted on social media shows two people apparently ejecting from the plane before it crashed into the parking lot of an apartment building in the town of Ypsilanti.

The two people inside the plane are reportedly in stable condition.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is investigating.
