BIG RAPIDS, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Ferris State University head football coach Tony Annese will not be on the sidelines Saturday when his Bulldogs have a NCAA Division Two playoff game against rival Grand Valley State University.

Annese was suspended after two players lit cigars in a smoke-free locker room after they won their second straight national title last year.

He says he learned of the suspension in March and says it was intentional to do it for the postseason as he expected the Bulldogs to go up against the Lakers.
